Classification of Warehouse Racking Systems

Warehouse racking systems are classified according to type of goods and weight rack. Both of these are a prerequisite for consideration in the selection of the use of shelves for storage.

Racking modern systems also use a knock-down model. This provides more benefits, especially in terms of flexibility. Knock-down is the type that can be dismantled pairs. This allows the user to set a high bar in the rack, and also the possibility to move the location from one warehouse to another warehouse.

In general, the knock-down consists of 2 main parts, namely the frame set and the beam. Frame is a foot rack. For knock-down system, the frame set consists of two leg-called upright post. Both legs are associated with some center support, forming a sturdy frame sets.

All three have different usage characteristics. Especially in weight per area. Light-duty shelving is typically used to store goods that are very mild.

Warehouse racking systems normally never use a pallet. Therefore, the weight of the goods which are very light and generally small. Shelves are usually used as a base multiply board to put the goods.

The usual type of goods stored in warehouse racking system is drugs and electronics. Mid-duty components are used to store goods with medium weight.

There are two kinds of mid-duty. They are up mid-duty and mid-duty down. The difference is seen from the tendency of both the weight of the goods. Up is a rack type with a tendency toward more severe, while down in the direction of the lighter. Model of the racking system both have different.

Type down more inclined towards the light, using the board, while the type up more like heavy-duty, without using the boards, but use pallets instead.
